There are lots of plastic options out there. I chose Friendly Plastic for this because it is easy to manipulate. In this case, the fact that we can use heat to add details worked for me. That said, I don't think that FP would work for all needs. Vacuum-formed plastic, for example, can give great details, too, but I don't have a vacuu-form table. But was the piece done in extremely soft plastic. Could you have went up a notch with the quality of the plastic and still had the same effect.
